Online-payment fee schedule
When a contractor turns on online invoice payment for a customer, the contractor pays the Online Payment Fee shown below. The customer pays exactly the invoice amount selected for payment; TradelyHQ does not add the Online Payment Fee to the customer’s total. These are the current standard U.S. rates implemented by the Service:
- Card fee: 2.90% + 30¢ per payment
- Amex fee: 2.90% + 30¢ per payment
- ACH bank-debit fee: 1% (capped at $10.00 per payment)
The fee is deducted from the contractor’s connected-account balance or payment proceeds. It has two possible components:
- Stripe processing fee. Stripe charges the contractor’s connected account for processing and may separately charge other amounts such as cross-border, currency-conversion, dispute, return, network, tax, or optional-service fees.
- TradelyHQ application fee. TradelyHQ currently charges no application fee on card or American Express payments. For ACH bank debits, TradelyHQ’s application fee is the portion of the listed 1%-capped rate that remains after the standard Stripe ACH processing amount used by the Service.
Refunds: a customer receives the refund amount the contractor requests. Stripe’s original processing fee generally is not returned to the contractor. If TradelyHQ collected an application fee on the payment, the current Service instructs Stripe to return that fee to the contractor in full for a full refund or proportionally for a partial refund. Card and American Express payments currently carry no TradelyHQ application fee, so there is no TradelyHQ fee to return.
The listed schedule covers the standard transaction fee only; Stripe’s separate charges described above can make the contractor’s actual cost higher. Rates may change prospectively; the current rates in the Service and this page control. Online payment terms are set out in ourTerms of Service.
