Online-payment fee schedule

When a contractor turns on online invoice payment for a customer, each payment through TradelyHQ carries a processing fee. These are the current rates:

• Card fee: 2.90% + 0.30¢ per payment
• Amex fee: 3.25% + 0.30¢ per payment
• Bank transfer fee: 1% (capped at $10.00 per payment)

A contractor chooses who covers this fee for their own customers, from their account settings:

• The contractor covers the fee (the customer pays exactly the invoice amount).
• The customer covers the fee (added to the invoice total, shown before they confirm payment).
• A split, for example the customer covers the card fee and the contractor covers the bank-transfer fee.

Some states limit or restrict passing a card-processing fee on to a customer. Contractors are responsible for following the rules that apply where their customer is billed.
